Weekend Recap: Spent Indoors

Hey there!

I hope everyone is staying dry and staying safe! If you live in or near the Tampa area you are probably feeling the same way I am, in need of sunshine! 

This rain has been going on for 3 weeks now, but the forecast looks like there are sunny skies in our near future! I kind of forgot how those look...so here's a picture to remind us. 

FYI: This area is currently underwater

It goes without saying that our weekend was spent indoors. 

Saturday after spending all day in the house,  I had a mild case of cabin fever and HAD to get out. We had reservations at Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa, but there was no way we were going to attempt to drive in the flooded streets. We opted for dryer/drive-able streets and went to Stonewood Grill in Valrico. 

I haven't to Stonewood in YEARS, at least five! When they first opened we were frequent visitors, then they changed their menu (took off my husband's favorite item) and we never returned...until Saturday. We were pleasantly surprised with everything, except the mashed potatoes. They are presented to you on the menu with a long name - Herb Scented Buttermilk Whipped Potatoes. They were definitely whipped, but had absolutely no flavor. I'm not really sure why they'd be "herb-scented" and not "herb flavored"... ??

Sunday we woke up, determined to make it a day spent out of the house. We tried out a new local church, then went to Alisha's house to have lunch and let the girls play.

Girls just wanna have fun! :)

For lunch we order pizza from Fabrica Woodfired Pizza in Channelside. Fabrica let's you create your own 12' pizzas however you'd like, and it takes around 10 minutes to cook. We ordered the Caesar salad, Spinaci E Gorgonzola salad, Carni pizza, and Salsiccia pizza. Everything was very fresh and satisfying! 

The rest of Sunday was spent at Costco, and getting ready for the week. 

I had plans to get up this morning and make it to a 9am gym class, but it was pouring down rain and the girls slept in until 8:45! I guess that's what soothing rain sounds will do to ya! 

Honestly, I don't even know what today will bring...except rain.
