Hump Day News to Celebrate

Hey! Good day to you all!

First things first;  I don't know where Monday's "weekend recap" post disappeared to. Must be somewhere in the internet clouds...who really knows?!

I got the greatest news of the year this week and I was like
and

Short story even shorter, the next stage in Operation:Build Me a Home has begun!!!!!

If you don't know, we've been trying to build a house on a piece of property we bought last year. It officially started in March when we sold our house. Since March the land has basically been untouched (except for a lawn mower and a few survey people). The county has rejected the plans twice, our loan process was on hold until 2014 taxes were complete, and some additional land surveys had to be ordered. It was literally one piece of "pump the breaks" news after another and I'm praying that it's going to be a smooth ride from here on out. One can pray and hope, but I know there is a slim chance of that actually happening. I've tossed out all expectations at this point, and I haven't been disappointed since. :)

I'm come to the realization that ALL THAT ABOVE is why people don't build custom houses more often.  I can only image the stress that will come with picking out every single little thing that will do in the house; light sockets, baseboards, windows, doors, light switches, cabinets, and the list goes on until there is no room left in a 500 page notebook. Some of that stuff has already been decided and I've been Pinning Home ideas since last year, so if all else fails, just go to my "Home" Pinterest board.

In other news, I have a new found love...and it's name is Spin Class. Not only did I love the class, but the teacher was my old cheer mom growing up! She's phenomenal! I figured this was a good way of training for the triathlon on Saturday.
Excuse the face matching the shirt color...it was a killer class!

That's all the news I have for this HUMP DAY! Hope you all have a wonderful day, and maybe get some news of your own to celebrate!! Sending #GoodVibes

XOXO

  2. We almost built a custom home several years ago and when the final plans came back to us it was about $300K more than we ever imagined. Now, I can't wait to be out of a house and down-size to something maintenance-free. Kids are gone...it's time! Have fun and best of luck...Thanks for sharing via #TBB #LinkLove
