Mexican, 80's, & Italian Feasts

Aaaaand its Monday! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! Ours was wonderfully filled with celebrations and good eats! My sister in law turns 30th this month and this weekend we got to celebrate!

Here's what our weekend looked like:

Friday was a lazy night spent on the couch and devouring Mexican food from one of our favorite places. It's a hole-in-the-wall type place off of 301 called Taqueria Don Jolios. Def a "don't judge a book by the cover" place. I think it FOR SURE has the local beloved Taco Bus beat. Everything is so fresh and authentic.

Saturday started early with soccer practice...
Something about these kind of mornings makes my heart smile :)

Lunch at home...
Followed by a nice but super hot run!

Saturday night we were decked out in 80's gear. How legit is that dress?! A lady came up to me and said she wore the exact dress to one of her proms in the 80's.

No birthday (or anything!) is complete without the fabulous Cake Pops by Lu!

Then Sunday was a big homemade family dinner (Italian style) with Chicken Parmesan, pasta, roasted veggies, antipasto salad, and bread.

AND another thing that completes every birthday, a Sweeties Bakery cake. You can't go wrong people! When I ordered this I asked for "as much frosting as you can possibly get on it" and they sure did deliver! The frosting was so massive, it weighed down the entire cake and started falling over. My sister-in-law is addicted to their frosting so she was in frosting heaven!

That about sums up our weekend! Hope yours was just as good!

XOXO
